Things to Do in Chicago with Dogs: Eating Chicago-style with Dogs

I know a lot of people feel sorry for City Dogs because we don't have backyards, but we've realized how this actually helps us have more quality, family walks with our pups.
After we wrote this post about safely combining dog walking and running errands, I've been on the lookout for more walk ups so people won't need to resort to Dog Parking.
I've realized what once used to be a city of hotdog carts has become a city of bright red and yellow hot dog buildings. Many with walk-up windows and picnic tables where you can order a Chicago hot dog or Polish sausage without needing to tether your pup unattended:
During the summer we made our way to the original Maxwell street to eat at dueling stands Maxwell Street Original and Jim's Original Hot Dog. They are inexpensive, original, and always open.
What are some other walking traditions you have with your pups?

Shannon and I typically do a Starbucks walk on the weekends. I like to have a destination in mind when taking him on longer walks and our local Starbucks is a good distance to start and then we decide from there whether to keep going or turn back around. Mugsy loves Starbucks too because it usually means we get him a cup of ice and hand feed it to him. Guy is spoiled rotten.

We live in a small town so the opportunities like walk ups are few. We do have an ice cream stand that Ray and I plan to visit next summer but until then, we are kind of limited to retail stores in the nearest larger town. I miss living in Chicago!

I am currently visiting a really small town. They don't really have a lot of places to walk the dogs to so I'm wondering what the people here do... back home I put the pups in the car and they can go for a ride to our favorite places.
