She is 7 and I still put them up sometimes when I want to order block off a room from them (pee lawn issues!). Get a tall one with a handle you can open. My pup isn't happy in a kennel when left home alone. So I'm trying to find a gate for a room doorway or even a large dog playpen that she could spend time in while I'm at work.
