You've done great things with your deck. It kind of puts our whole yard to shame!Kolchak Pugglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03246753495695769393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513996817497959054.post-37164774299079127802012-09-02T16:09:12.847-05:002012-09-02T16:09:12.847-05:00I don't have experience with the Magic Mesh; h...I don't have experience with the Magic Mesh; however, we bought a Bug Off screen door several years ago (they were the first company with this concept). They *claim* to be strudier than Magic Mesh, but I wouldn't know. I can say that our first one lasted about 4 years until finally one day Bonnie's toenail caught it during a zoomie session and ripped the bottom. I thought that was pretty good longevity as we live in So Cal so it is in use pretty much 365 days a year except when it rains - certainly better (and more convenient than the old screen slider). I dunno if it helps or not but we leave the spring bar just loose enough so I can insert it without getting a hernia - this may have an advantage because every now and then when some body races through it, it falls down. Does this prevent tearing as well, I dunno.

Bug Off screens are more expensive, but are available cheaper on Amazon. I'd be interested in hearing from someone who's tried or seen both.Lagomorphmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13714955703748247610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513996817497959054.post-42617326624508035602012-08-30T15:37:14.593-05:002012-08-30T15:37:14.593-05:00Very cute. I bought the replacement screen and only attached it at the top so they could easily go in and out on the patio. This magic screen though sounds much better with the magnets! The problem is being 12 floors up facing Lake Michigan we can get some serious wind whipping through, making things such as herb gardens and rugs impossible to keep out of fear of killing someone on the street. I should look into those floor pillows that you have, I could easily keep them inside and take them out when Nala wants to enjoy the outdoors! Rosie is like a bull in a china shop. Unfortunately the mesh got caught on her collar and it was ripped to shreds. Oh well, I guess the Magic Mesh wasn't pitbull friendly in my home. Rosie has her own pillow on my desk. I also have a hammock where she lounges just about all day. I have to bring her in at night otherwise she would sleep outside. I can keep the balcony door open all day without letting the bugs in. It creates great air flow and also lets the dog enjoy some fresh air whenever he pleases. I would recommend these to anyone, but especially renters.Kerrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15726412855366387041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513996817497959054.post-9267477097038096052012-08-30T06:59:29.688-05:002012-08-30T06:59:29.688-05:00BOL - we gave up on it!
