Mr. B Photographs Halloween in 10 Pictures

Since all the Halloween parties were nowhere near our neighborhood, the pooches spent half of the weekend cruising around the city checking out pedestrians, bikers and other drivers. Ms. M loves looking out the front windshield, so she can keep an eye on where we are going.
Mr. B loves to rest his huge noggin on the window looking into other cars and saying hi to bikers.
It was a pretty busy weekend for Mr. B, he spent most of his time taking pictures of our weekend adventures. At the Halloween Parade in University Village, he checked out the competition and
even saw the bull rider costume from Target that he considered buying.
He was quite impressed by the viking and his dog in the dragon costume. He wished that we came prepared and matched. Maybe next year we will match Mr. B's costume and I will come as Bowser, Ms. M will be Princess Toadstool and A will be Mario.
Even kids came prepared for the Halloween Parade.
After the Halloween Parade, we came back to the neighborhood and walked the pooches in costume on a very long walk.
On Halloween, we headed out to Lakeview for the North Halsted Street Halloween Parade. The parade is so big, that they had police barricades set up blocking numerous streets. Just to find a place to park was pretty stressful.
Lucky for Mr. B, he got to see the Viking again and his loyal dragon dog.

  1. You all definitely need to do the Mario Bros. theme! It'd be perfect!! I always like seeing pictures from Mr. B's point of view...he's quite the photographer.

  9. HoundDogMom: Mr. B has the Pets Eye Cam that attaches to his collar and periodically takes photographs of what he sees. When he walks or moves they sometimes come out blurry, but now he's becoming quite the photojournalist. We wrote about it here: http://pittiesincity.blogspot.com/2010/07/pooches-mr-b-photojournalist.html

  14. It sure does look like you had lotsa fun. I think it's kinda funny that Miss M dressed as an angel and I dressed as a devil! Too bad we couldn't gets our picture taken together. I was kinda surprised that mom puts devil horns on me but she explained that the whole point of Halloween was to dress up as something you're not. Um, not that Miss M ISN'T an angel! Cuz I'm quite sure she is.

  24. I love the faces of the dogs in these pictures. They are so adorable. As soon as I get my dog back from the ex, I'm going to take him to training so I can take him out in public again.

  25. Your babies look absolutely fantastic. There's nothing cuter than a pup in costume. I bought the Headless Horseman Rider (pics to come) costume before the day for both dogs as funds are tight, but I bought another at Target today for $5 (WooT!). Today's buy was the royal crown and robe for Miss Arwen , her majesty - how fitting! The Viking and dragon is a great idea - We always joke that Nyxie acts like Toothless the Dragon ;)

  27. That bull rider costume is hilarious. We saw a similar one on a dog at the Halloween parade in Atlanta, but I couldn't get a photo of the dog due to him jumping around so much. Apparently he was really getting into playing the part of the bull :)

  28. I just found this entry - I am the viking in the pics! Blanca made a GREAT Dragon! We were delighted and flattered to have been so popular with Mr. B! We are hard at work thinking of this year's costume.. Last year's costume was done out of state... (we had to go visit the grandparents in TN) but we couldnt miss the opportunity to dress up as Paula Deen and A Stick of Butter! Looking forward to seeing you guys this year!
