Yet, every so often Miss M gets this urge to lay on the couch. As we documented before, she has a whole process so she won't get caught. She sleeps with one eye open:
Retreats:
And pretends she was laying in the bed the whole time:
I think it shows intelligence that she is going through such planning not to get caught.Though the other day, the retreat did not go as expected:
She tried to act like nothing was wrong, and ate her dinner as normal:
So now we're back to foil on the couch. Or at least until Miss M can scheme a new plan:
Oh my gosh that is too funny! I love the pillow caught in the collar - no denying it now, my dear Miss M!
ReplyDeleteThat is hysterical! I love how much thought she puts into her escapades! So, so funny!
ReplyDeleteShe is one smart cookie! That darn pillow spoiled her getaway!! I love that she ate dinner with it!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! I'm sure she was just hoping you guys wouldn't notice!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised she hasn't tried Mr B's "if I don't see them, they can't see me" tactic when she runs away.
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny. Miss M's face is so expressive!
ReplyDelete"Oh no, I couldn't possibly sit on the couch. This pillow here? This one on the floor? Yeah, it's REAL comfy."
"Pillow? What pillow? Can't a girl eat her dinner in peace?"
LOL! Poor Miss M...busted! I think it is way too funny that she tried to act like the pillow wasn't there:)
ReplyDeleteOmg SO funny! And intersting! I wonder why the foil keeps them off the couch!
ReplyDelete-Corbin
Miss M....you were TOTALLY set up! That pillow was PLANTED on you! Call your attorney!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. How did you set up the camera??
ReplyDeleteWatching TV with my female is one of my favorite things even though I don't like them on the couch or bed when I am gone.
Foil works??
I have a halloween mask that keeps the big guy off. When I am not around he not only sleeps on the couch but tries to eat it so its a bit more important to keep him off.
Oh Ms M our mom tries to trap us too. You are hysterical. We get on the sofa when moms not home. But she always finds little areas of white hair on the sofa. We deny everything
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
OMD! This is hysterical! Poor Miss M ... caught in the act.
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Oh Miss M....you are so busted. Kind of hard to hide that evidence!
ReplyDeleteWyatt
My coworkers now all officially think I'm nuts because I just snort-laughed at my desk while reading this, even though I should be writing about tax policy. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteChick has this same attitude, and you have me REALLY wishing I could figure out how to catch him in the act!

Ohmidogness! My mom is practically howling with laughter abouts this. But me...I feel ever so sorry for Miss M. I'm sure it wasn't her. I'm sure it was the Ninjas who tried to steal your couch but she wouldn't let them. And THEN they threw a pillow at her before they ran away and it got stuck there on her collar.
ReplyDeleteYep...I bet that's totally what happened. Pooooooor Miss M.
Wiggles & Wags,
mayzie
Oh my gosh, that is the funniest thing! She looks so dang innocent. Smart girl!
ReplyDeletehahaha she is a smart girl =)
ReplyDelete~the mama monster
hahahahaha Miss M was to get caught!

That is hilarious! But poor Miss M - you have to kind of feel sorry for her with trying so hard not to get caught and even eating her dinner as if there was no pillow hanging from her collar :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha I love this! She is too cute. We went through the period of training off the furniture but eventually I caved in and Blackie has taken over the couch, the chair and the bed!

Our new dog wouldn't go on the couch. We've had to train her to do it. She still doesn't go up very often. Maybe we should trade dogs. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious!!
ReplyDeleteROO!!!!!ROO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou go Miss M!!!!!
It won't be long before you can get up the nerve to just lay on that foil!!!
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
That reminds me of what my brother & I would do when we were kids... we were allowed on the couch (ahem) but we would get in trouble if we didn't get out of bed right away when my mom woke us up in the morning :)
ReplyDeleteOh man, totally have to try the foil technique. Ender knows he isn't allowed on the couch unless he's invited, but since we've been leaving him the living room at night, the bf always wakes up to Ender sleeping on the couch.
ReplyDeletehahahah caught red handled!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust gotta stay one step ahead, Miss M, one step ahead.
ReplyDeleteWe do let Shiva up on the couch but by invitation only. If she jumps off she can't just jump back up whenever she feels like it. However, I have totally heard "jumping off the couch" noises as I've come up the stairs in the morning as well. Sigh. Tin foil, you say?
The hidden camera shots you captured were awesome! I need to do something like that.
That is hilarious! Poor Miss M, there is no denying it now!! I never heard of using foil to keep a dog off of something, how does that work? Are they afraid of the crinkle or something?
ReplyDeleteKirby is very different when it comes to the couch. He will jump on it if I'm not sitting on it, to look out the window or grab a toy. But if I'm sitting on it, he sits and waits to be invited up, and I didn't teach him this!
Thanks for sharing,
Kirby's mom
BOL - too funny!
ReplyDeleteSam
No tinfoil is going to stop Miss M from getting what she wants! I am waiting for the post about the shiny poop or the foil star she makes!
ReplyDeleteHer facial expressions just crack me up!
HA HA!! Too funny!! Rob had to pause his show to find out why I was laughing so hard!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe pillow stuck to her collar was the best!!!
Hugs!!
oh my ouw mommish laughed so hawrd we fink she tooted tee hee hee
ReplyDeletewe just loved your post LOVED IT
pibble sugars and wee wiggles
the pittie pack
Hahahaha!!! That is too cute!!! Such a smart lil missy!! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure whether it's the reflection, or the crinkling sound, but foil is a deterrent. Though Miss M is getting more brave, I think we may need to find a new tactic soon.
ReplyDeleteMs. M has the BEST facial expressions, ever. I'm sure I've said that before, but she's just too much!!
ReplyDeleteAnd kudos to you for having enough of a backbone to say no to those faces! There's no place in my apartment that's off limits.
Oh that's funny, poor Miss M, I don't like tin foil, I only have to see it come out the cupboard and I'm gone!! mine up if it has chicken in it that's another matter :)
ReplyDeleteSee Yea George xxx
She is a super smart doggy! To bad that she got the pillow stuck on her collar to spoil her plan.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
BUSTED! I think acting cool was a great strategy. Who can tell how that pillow got there? Maybe the couch attacked you. It's not like they have photographic proof that you were ever on the couch, oh, wait, maybe they do.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
BOL Miss M! You are sooooooo BUSTED!
ReplyDeleteLaughin my tail off :) You slippery gal you ;)
Waggin at ya,
Roo
Miss M, you sneaky dog! That is too funny!
ReplyDeleteROFLOL!! That was too funny.
ReplyDeleteYou always manage to come up with funny posts and anecdotes! Those two dogs must keep you guys very entertained.
ReplyDeleteHa! Poor Ms. M, caught red-handed. What a stinker!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! Clever girl...for the most part!
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Oh Miss M.
ReplyDeleteThis is probably my favorite funny-Miss M post. I love the way she continues on with normal life even though a decorative pillow is hanging from her collar! Such a character!
