The Story of Miss M and the Sofa Part Trois

When I got home yesterday, I looked up to find Ms. M and Mr. B staring out the window.
I noticed right away that Ms. M was a lot higher than Mr. B and she was way to the left.
But when I entered the house, Ms. M and Mr. B were already in the beds acting like they have been in there all day.
After their walk, I started preparing for the next day and then I looked up to find Ms. M laying very nicely on the sofa.
She allowed me to snap some photos, before she realized that I was using this as evidence to show A that she was on the sofa.
Before I knew it, Ms. M was off the sofa and in her bed, trying to prep herself for A.

  1. awesome...a lady wants what she wants, I guess! Maisie is allowed on the furniture, so her sneaking it is one thing I don't have to worry about. I actually sometimes force Maisie to come snuggle on the couch with me against her will! ;)

  4. Ha, ha, ha, we can be so sneaky. Or so we think. With the dogs before me that weren't allowed on the furniture, mom would come home from work and they would be standing by the back door with their legs crossed like "We have been holding it for HOURS!!!" but when mom would feel the sofa, it would still be warm from where they were sleeping before they heard the car pull in the driveway.

  6. what a clever lady!! do you think she knows that it's more dangerous to be on the sofa when A is around than when E is around?

  7. We have the same problem with our Maggie. She sneaks a good sofa cuddle when she can. Which means our nice sofa upstairs perpetually is covered with tin foil in a lame attempt to keep her off when we're not home.

  13. Really, that sofa is just going to waste while you're at work. Miss M is just helping you get your money's worth out of. That would be my story, anyway.

  14. Miss M,some advice from Anouk - The Naughtiest Dog in the World; When you are busted doing something naughty, the correct approach is to pretend you weren't doing it at all and that your human must be mistaken.
Never let them take photographic evidence - you lose all deniablity!

  17. Oh, I can't believe that you'd sell her out! I'm sure she was just up there so she could catch the first possible glance of you as you came home. ;)

  18. Oooh Busted!! Sometimes, we like to sneek into the livingroom and try out the sofa. We can see why the peeps like it so much!!

  19. Miss M is so sneaky! Turk gets up on the couch a lot too. It doesn't really bug me unless it's muddy outside and then we have a problem. I could probably avoid it altogether by not letting him up on the couch at all but alas...I can't say no to those big brown eyes! :)

  20. Oh no, Ms M...you never allow any evidence! And what a rookie move at the window. Surely your enthusiasm to see your family arrive will help keep you out of hot water. Hint, hint.

  21. She is so, so precious! I think Miss M and my Lucas must have been chatting... For some inexplicable reason, after years of never getting on the sofa, over the last week I've snuck up on him several times, just snoozing away on the corner of the couch. Hmm. Maybe all this cold weather makes them feel especially snuggly?

  22. Oh Ms. M, what a stinker you are! But a smart stinker! How funny that she sees you out the window and then gets in her bed. I wonder if she's even snoozing up there and Mr. B warns her to get off.

Levi has his own room now in our new house. He has an entire queen size bed all to himself, yet we often come home to find him curled up in the chair. It's white, of course, and is now covered in dog hair. I should give that chair to Neptune.

  23. I admire your ability to set rules and boundaries for your dogs. Sharona just has to look at me sitting in "her" spot on the couch and I get up and let her have it...what can I say I am well trained. I also let her sleep under the covers, in the bed at night!

  24. Alison says it all for us.
Wilbur not only lies on the futon at the apartment but he has extra pillows for his tender pitty tummy. On the boat he lies on the sette with his Steelers pillow and we take turns covering him up. At night we stuff him down under the blankets and we're thankful that he likes it because it keeps up warm.

  28. Hahahahahahahahahahaaha!!! Catching up on all the posts I missed, working my way backwards. Oh, this is TOO funny, that guilty look. Lady is even sneakier. I have only actually seen her on the sofa with my own eyes twice in three years, however, she sneaks up there at LEAST once a week. But she is a genius at adopting that "oh, hi, yes, I've been here in my bed all afternoon" look of pure innocence.
