DoggyStyle: Mr B's Tepee Upgrade

This is Mr. B.
Mr. B lives in a tepee.
Just like a character in a children's book!
But it didn't start out so magical.
We know how important it is for our pooches to have places that are comfortable and familiar to them, and to keep them safe from temptation while we are away. Mr. B loves being in a his crate. So much that he will even share:
He just didn't love it when the door was shut. So he decided to use his face as a battering ram to break out.
We began leaving him in the crate with the door open, but his huge crate soon became an eyesore. So, we replaced his crate with a tepee. Now he still has a private place to hang out, but we think it looks so much better for our decor. We wrote more about it here.
And since the winter has been so gloomy, and we have to stay inside so much, we decided to take it up a notch. Much like the guy who decorates his dorm room with lights, Mr. B added some twinkle lights to the top of his teepee.

Though he likes to think it's more classy, like the Eiffel Tower, than a dorm room.
But, at least it's attracting the ladies, even if it is just Miss M.

  1. Nice touch Mr. B! I love adding white mini lights to the dark winter decor. I usually put a string around the bathroom mirror!

  2. Miss M. is looking quite seductive, but I don't think Mr. B. is falling for it.

  3. What a great idea. Also, adds a little romance theme to the room for the peeps as well. Sniffs, The HoundDogs

  4. I'm still new to your blog so I don't think I've ever seen this before. LOVE this solution. Our boxer-mix HATES to be crated. He has a dog bed right now, but I think giving him his own 'space' would make him very happy. This is such a cute solution that I wouldn't hate to have sitting in my living room.

  5. You should write that children's book! "Mr B and his Teepee". Would be a cute story, and one more way to spread the positive pittie message!

  6. When mom was in Seattle she thought of you, a street vender at Pikes Marketplace had tons in different patterns. Very cool teepee

  10. That is such a cute idea! My little mutt was houdini when I used to leave her in her crate. She would get out but only leave bent bars to show that she had even tried. I still have no idea how she did it. Now she just sleeps on my bed :)

  11. Mr. B is both a stuffed animal and a fairy tale character! I love it. Your apartment is also so pretty. And that wall will be even MORE gorgeous once you have a YB Home painting on it...! :)
