Pooches: Mr. B the Jack Rabbit
One of A's biggest pet peeves with Mr. B occurs during the daily walks. Mr. B has this tendency to randomly turn into a jack rabbit and start running, which is dangerous for both him and A since he is strong, on a leash and tends to do this when they are crossing a street. He likes to do this with me, but I'm a lot stronger than A, so it really isn't that much of an issue. We keep wondering what is prompting him to take off like this. He really isn't running after anything and it happens so sporadically, but he calms down in a few seconds. The funny thing is that he looks like a jack rabbit. His ears are pulled back and his legs are spinning like hot wheels and looks more like he is hopping than running. This is just another one of the many faces of Mr. B.

That's why I looove pitties with their proper ears- they look so sweet when they fly back!
Who can say why dogs decide to do something, Mr B does look good with his back pack on.
That is hilarious! I love those pictures!!
Mr. B must have seen the movie "UP"...you know what I'm talking about?!....
SQUIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREL!
Wags and Woofs,
Mack and Mia
Zoomies - he has them.
Paris says Mr B "is the cutest jack rabbit she's ever seen" !!
Pfsh! That's an easy one. He does it cuz it's FUN! Maybe A should just wear roller skates.
Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
PeeS. A green river? That's the craziest thing I ever heards of!
umm pardon our question but are you sure that maybe one of you sih not tooting ??? that would explain the running away

teehee
happy st pattys day
pibble sugars
the houston pittie pack
I wonder if he is seeing something that excites him? Our Sugar would get so excited when she saw a bike, it could be really close to us or off in the distance. She knew there was a bike and she was excited!! It's amazing the power the bully breads have!
We ended up trying to do positive reinforcement... we would sit outside out building and practice sitting and each time a bike came near I would have her sit and if she did good she would get a treat. Soon bikes didn't phase her!
So maybe there is something in his line of sight that may be so inconsequential but it makes him excited?
Too funny! I took Ivan jogging yesterday and he did the same thing, especially at intersections. Crazy pups.
Mr B can keep his name. B stands for bunny wabbit. BOL
Twinkie
maybe mr. b just needs more to carry in his backpack!
*woof*
the booker man
we love the backpacks. Jack rabbits don't have backpacks...silly humans
Benny & Lily
thats why Mesa and I can't run together. She has moments of zoomies
little bear does this all the time! ears pinned, a body posture that makes her look like something between wiley coyote and a jack rabbit, and then - SPROING she's off. i am also unsure what sets it off, but let's just say that aside from her double clipped leash, collar, and ez-walk harness, i'm also in the market for a doggy backpack. to fill with rocks.
Do you ever run with your dogs? Sometimes Kayloo just wants to RUN and after we run for a block or so she seems to get it out of her system and then she's good.
I can understand that. Sometimes I just want to scream my head off. Ah, my poor neighbours ;)
He is adorable in his packs - looks so happy :)
Charlie was doing this tonight, sans the jack rabbit ears (you know how weird her ears are). Why do they do this? Maybe it's spring fever. Except it happens year-round!
Hm, Mr. B and the Easter Bunny.... separated at birth? Heeeee!
Sometimes, even after a huge run, I'll find myself at the end of Duncan's leash, flying along faster than the speed of light because all of a sudden he got a bug up his butt!
Maybe its all about the street. Maybe he's learned that streets are dangerous and he wants to get away from them as soon as possible!
Noelle does the same thing sometimes, only with her its when we cross any driveways. I think with her its because she wants to run and get to the grass on the other side so she can sniff some more - the street doesn't have as interesting smells in it as the grass does.
