While we meet so many people during the warmer weather, once winter hits, all the Chicagoans go inside to hibernate. It becomes so much harder to meet people...and Miss M goes into withdrawl. So now they wear hats and puffy coats. Sure, they don't keep them that much warmer, but it was kind of incredible to see many people disgruntled with the cold Chicago weather openly begin laughing to see Mr B's big furry hat and Miss M's pink puffy coat:
Of course the pooches loved when people would stop to talk to them and pet them. And we liked talking to the people who were surprised to realize that pitbulls are such great dogs.

I love love love Mr Bs hat! How cool... Don't think I've ever seen one :-) and Ms M looks as pretty as ever!
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday,
Rachel
I agree! That is one awesome hat! Keep fighting the good fight.
Who wouldn't love Mr. B. in that big hat? Or without it? Same goes for Miss M. They are truly ambassadors for their breed, and let's not forget the two two-leggers on the other end of those leashes, making it possible for them to do what they do best. The world, or at least Chicago, is a better place for pit bulls because of all your efforts.
I showed my dad the picture of the "vicious" pit bull Mr. B in his fuzzy hat and my dad laughed and laughed. I don't like to wear hats, though, cuz they might squash my Most Magnificent ears.

Mr. B's hat is da bomb !!!!! Good job slaying those sterotypes. If there were ever two dogs that could do it Mr. B and Ms. M are them.
Merry Christmas to you all!

We never thought we'd dress up our dogs, either (well, the hubby is still resisting a little bit!) but you're totally right, anything to make pitties seem more approachable. Especially with our fosters, I love putting them in pretty collars and fun outfits when we go out on the town. Anything to get them more attention and into their furever homes lickity split!
Okay, first off, Mr. B's hat is awesome! Secondly, E looks super stylish in that first photo...kudos to him for looking like he walked right out of GQ!
Mr B should totally be a model
We've got all kinds of snows here today and a hat and coat might be in order. But knowing us we'll just stick to the couch!
Wags!
Mr. Nubbin'
lol, I think I might have to buy that hat for Nemo - where did you get it? They are super cute in their winter wear!
hahhaha I love Mr B's hat!
I'm taking a cue from Mr. B's hat and Miss M's coat. My dogs are hounds, who are rarely thought of as pets in this part of the country; and Justus is a Dobie mix; scary to some. Right now, he is sporting a Christmas bandana. The others will definitely have coats when we walk...to spread the word. I LOVE that hat!
That hat is the best thing ever!!
Does Mr B like wearing it? (We have a Mr B too)
Mr. B.'s hat is ridiculous! Love it!
Mr B just goes with the flow and doesn't mind wearing a hat or clothes. We picked up this hat in the kids' section of Old Navy (on sale!) and E sewed a bit of elastic to the bottom to help it stay on. I think Mr B is such a lughead, he doesn't even realize he has anything on.
I have such a hard time finding clothes to fit my pit, you must tell me where you get there jackets from. They look great!!! They are beautiful. And I hope that she enjoys her peace and the fact that she will encounter less traffic on the sidewalks. Keep it positive!! :) But, I bet she will miss everyone. Sure glad that she can bring smiles with her awesome fashion sense.

Is Mr. B's hat meant for humans, or is it an actual fuzzy dog hat? Because I need one... or two...
Mr. B's hat just totally makes that whole ensemble! Too darned cute!
