Which is true...because he does no wrong.
A likes to say, "You wouldn't let Miss M do that", whenever Mr. B does something that A doesn't approve of and I don't mind.
I really don't think that I let Mr. B get away with more than Miss M and the best example came just this past week. A and I went out on a date this past Tuesday. We did everything like always, right before we left the pooches went out to potty and we gave them an incredible edible kong.
After our great night out, we came home to a crime scene.
Someone(s) went where they were not allowed and pulled down three full boxes of cookies and ate them all. These were no normal cookies, two of the boxes were kourambiedes (almond cookies) and melomakaronas (honey cookies) from a Greek bakery on the northside of the city and the third box was a gift and it was an assortment of cookies from Mindy's Hot Chocolate. We came home to find two boxes in the kitchen with a trail of powdered sugar leading from the boxes to Mr. B's tepee, where we found the third box and a huddled up Mr. B licking his lips profusely.
The odd thing is that the pooches had all day to steal and eat the cookies while we were at work. Luckily for the pooches, they didn't get sick from the cookies and luckily for us, this forced us to keep our diet of eating healthy. Though I was initially upset since I have been craving the cookies all day, when I saw Mr. B's cuddly face I realized that it was not his fault...
it was Miss M's.

I totally understand. It is never the fault of my precious girl Ginger, but in fact it is her sister Pepper (the husband's precious girl) that causes all the mischief.
hahaha oh man. I'm so sorry you lost your cookies - we have had such similar things in our house and although we know which pup it almost always is, who can tell? I agree that it is crazy though - they can be in the same area for hours at a time totally fine and then all of a sudden something gets destroyed.
My theory with our pups is our little sneaky (adorable) Amy does the first act of thievery/destruction and then our docile Luke joins in at the end to take in some of the spoils.
I love the last photo of Ms M - who me? hahaha
Have a great weekend!
HAHA -- we have the same situation. Edi is always the trouble-maker (he reminds us so much of Ms M!), so it is ALWAYS his fault. And little, sweet Tess does no wrong!
Just the laugh we needed this morning:)
Those poochies are so adorable!! :-)
This reminds me of what happened when I left my (then) six month old dachshund/yorkie puppie in the car with a box of Popeye's Chicken. Somehow, foolishly, I didn't think he'd get into it, because the box was closed. LOL We returned to the car and found FOUR WHOLE PIECES (bones and all) completely gone. Seriously. Where this then 10 lb dog put them all, I don't know. But we realized then that he's a force to be reckoned with when it comes to food!
Add a cat into the mix in our household and we have a conspiracy! Billy the cat knocks items off the counter, while our 2 pit mixes annihilate the goodies and the container/packaging is spread throughout the house. This doesn't happen often, have noticed they are partial to a local bread store's cinnamon bread (as am I!)
Ha! Naughty, naughty, Mr. B! That said, I wouldn't have been able to resist those cookies either... ; )
Haha, this story made me happy. Especially the way you tell it with so much obvious love for Mr. B. :) And I agree - Henry is incapable of doing anything wrong. Although I would be upset about the cookies from Mindy's Hot Chocolate. I went there on my only visit to Chicago and loved it so much!
BUSTED!!!!! Poor Mr. B never catches a break!
Too funny! I am single and have two dogs...Dexter is 6 (boxer/lab/pit mix) and Cooper is 3 (boxer/mastiff mix). I seem to always blame Dexter because he is smarter than Cooper...my sister calls me out on that all the time. The big brother always gets the blame!
I use to blame poor Apollo for everything, when really it was Laci who was being a bad dog...you don't think to blame the short one for counter surfing.
Well of course he's innocent - Ms. M went to a lot of trouble to frame him with the trail of powered sugar leading to the teepee. Only a really smart dog could have done that, so obviously she's also smart enough to steal all three boxes of cookies. I'm glad you didn't fall for her sneaky plan!
HAHAHAH! Another great post! As someone else says...of course it was Miss M who masterminded it all to frame Mr. B!!! And of course they didn't while on your date! You guys going to work is a daily occurrence for them and not something to protest...so sorry about your cookies tho!
Hahaha this reminds me of one time I was at my parent's house making a two layer chocolate cake. My Mom and I left the cakes too cool on the counter and took a quick trip to the store to get the cherries - when we returned there were matching nibbles in each cake! One of their dogs decided to jump up and sample the cakes - we never did figure out who was the culprit as fortunately neither got sick, but we both think we know which one did it!! And yes I did serve the cake, just cut out two matching half moons, hehe.
Oh my word!!!! Why did you leave evidence. We think it was the bad kitty from next door who snuck in. Bad kitty

Seriously...those faces!! They kill me everytime!
I'm sure naive Mr. B was set up the the devious Ms. M!
My pups can manage an entire day on their own, but if I go out after their evening walk...it will cost me a shoe!
Such a cute post! Thank you for the humor and joy of your stories about the pooches!
Reading about their adventures makes me laugh. Miss M and Mr B should write a children's book!
Great post - thanks for the laugh! Just seeing that suave look on Mr. B's face in the second photo, I knew it could never be his fault ;)
You know I almost always know whether it's Boomer or Dottie who has done something wrong. They just have these guilty faces!
Whew!!! Thank goodness you don't indulge in chocolate.
Mom and Dad always have to do a double check before leaving to make sure nothing is out we can get into and then a gate is placed in the kitchen doorway to prevent our access to the kitchen where they keep all their and all our cookies and goodies.
One time Emma found the apple Mom had left in her purse and came walking through the living room carrying the apple. It took the humans a few minutes to figure out where she found an apple. Then Emma and I got to eat the apple :)
This story is hilarious... poor Miss M... always blamed. But I get it... Mr B really can do no wrong.
