Update on the Special Pooches, Saved by a Community of Dog Lovers, in Memory of Shy/Khloe: Bella/June

We were so excited as we just received an update on everyone's favorite pup Bella  and we wanted to share with everyone how she is doing in her new home. I know a lot of us followed her story, but for those just joining in, Bella was one of 2 dogs saved by the generous donations from a community of dog lovers.
Despite her charm and good-looks, a broken leg and a chemical burn had this gal slated for the euthanasia list. When we saw this courageous pup at the shelter, and thought how she reminded us of sweet Shy, we knew we had to get her out. We only fostered her for a week, but during that time we found out how much she liked men, so we thought it was so lucky that her new dad has both his brothers as roommates.
Here is his update on how she's doing:
We finally settled on a name. Sunday night I got home from work, walked her, then relaxed, popping in a Johnny Cash DVD. Then I thought of "June," after June Carter Cash. Both of my brothers liked it, so we now have June. She's doing well here, getting adjusted to our place and our schedules.
Tuesday, my twin brother and I went home by my parents, who live on the Southside of Chicago by Midway Airport. She spent the day with us and came to dinner by my grandparents. They have a back yard, and June was able to run around.
By the time we got home, she was drained.
We're working with her training all the time so that she will be a well behaved dog, I think Miss M and Mr. B helped her out too.
She's been doing well with sitting at corners, waiting for her food and water, and staying in her crate.
We are so happy to see how well she's doing in her new home, and we can't thank everyone enough for helping save the lives of these two pups.

Oh we LOVE happy endings! So glad she is doing so well! It was an honor to pawticipate in this rescue, I am sure everyone who donated feels like I do, part of a solution. I think we should do this every year!
