Chicagoing: Bark in the Park

This past weekend, we packed up the pooches and headed out to the lake to participate in The Anti-Cruelty Society's Bark in the Park, which officially marks the start of summer dog events for us and Mr. B's summer photo series. He took the above photo of Ms. M staring off into the lake. The event was a huge success, there were mobs of people with their best friends walking along the lakefront path, taking detours at the Montrose Dog Beach and taking in the sights sitting by the lake.
Though we missed most of the walk, we enjoyed having an excuse to head out to the east side of the city and hang out by the lake.
Plus we got to meet and see some great pooches.
Mr. B was able to brush up on his camera techniques.
We were so excited to have people come over and say hi.

So fun! There have been SO many amazing dog events weve missed these past few weeks (Relay for Life and a walk across the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge) we cant wait until the 20 when were FREE to join in on the fun! The pups look so happy - must be fun to meet some of the blog friends! Have a great week at school, what book is after Of Mice and Men?

Ok, I'm officially humiliated! Mr. B. takes better photos than I do! That's it - photography class - here I come! :)

Looks like a fun time, though!

It's so wonderful that there are so many dog friendly things in your area! A lot of things around where we live don't allow dogs, which is a big downer.

Yay! It was so awesome to finally meet Ms M and Mr B. They are just as adorable as I thought they would be. Pretty excited I got to take Mr B's paw prints too - made my day! Great photos and the event was a great success.

I'm so impressed with Mr. B's photography skills. He's a very talented dog! Doesn't hurt that Miss M is a gorgeous model.

Thought it would be easier to respond here...we like when you mention books your class has read, due to Dental Student's goal to read the NYTimes 100 classic books, and Law Students obsession with her Kindle and the book networking site "GoodReads.com."

Law Student finishes finals in a week and will intern over the summer and Dental Student starts working in the hospital as a real-life dentist! Very exciting...

Looks like you also went to kite festival! We missed it this year, but have gone other years. It's one of our favorite Chicago events! Hope you will be coming to Red Door's walk on June 12th. I am going to post some info about it on Wednesday.

Your pal, Pip
