SociaBulls: Hyde Park and Historic Chicago

Our pack was very excited to head south to an amazing urban park, which is historically significant to Chicago. It's a neighborhood filled with turn-of-the-century castle-like homes, grassy boulevards, University of Chicago, Obama's Chicago home, the famed Wild Parrots of Chicago, and enormous Washington and Jackson parks (site of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair!).
Luckily for us, Mr. B brought his GoPro camera so it's like you're taking the walk with all of us. From his perspective he got amazing shots of the huge houses (castles?) lining the streets, and you can play a little 'Where's Waldo' to see if you can recognize any familiar pooch faces. Plus, we love the soundtrack he picked!
Which of these familiar faces were you able to spot in the video:
The park is so huge, you are barely aware that you're even in the city anymore. And we were actually lucky enough to spot a couple of the famed Hyde Park wild parrots for ourselves. It's shocking to believe they can actually survive our Chicago winters. It was also a great time to check out the fall foilage. Here is Natsu checking out the foliage with the wind 'blowing through her hair'.
Next week's SociaBull walk will actually be replaced by the special walk to help SuperLevi find his X-ray vision. More information on the walk is here. Chicagoland people--we would love to meet you if you come participate in the walk, or even help volunteer. We have some special superhero things planned.
We only have a couple of T-shirt sizes left, but if you were planning on ordering a T-shirt, please have it ordered by Tuesday night. Though we can't guarantee late ordered shirts that need shipping would arrive by the weekend.

We are also starting a Chicago SociaBulls Facebook page to keep  more people up to date and learn about what's going on with our Chicago dog socilization and walking club. Please like our page here.
If you are interested in joining SociaBulls, please email us at chicagosociabulls@gmail.com and tell us a bit about yourself and your pup and how you heard about the group.

Levi is getting some serious competition in the "cutest little black and white dog" category. As always, great morning, and great pictures!

Love what you are doing with the SociaBulls group. I would love to drive up some weekend for this, maybe next spring. We are going to get our raffle tickets this week because Mom really wants the camera for us. Also, are you guys going to pawticipate in the Christmas/Holiday Card Exchange. We are collecting addresses for states A-L if you want to get it in on it. It is so much fun to get more cards then our peeps. Just click on the picture on our blog. Sniffs, The HoundDogs

Mr. B you can move! That's a pretty brisk pace you have. I'm impressed.

I would like to know how your peeps attached the camera from that vantage point? Was it difficult?

Bizzarely enough I live in Hyde Park, New York and we have wild "parrots" all in the woods along the train lines- a pet shop burned down in the 70's and they went native. You'll catch a glimpse of them once and a while they are green pink and yellow like love birds- people say they're just pretty pigeons.
