From our videos, it is clear to see that Miss M and Mr. B love giving smooches, but Mr. B is very particular and mainly likes to give smooches on faces. Miss M also loves to receive smooches as much as giving smooches.
She will gladly receive a smooch on her lips, while Mr. B will show all sorts of calming signals like flicking his tongue and yawning when you try to kiss him on the lips.
A hates getting smooches from the pooches, I actually love the extra attention in the form of smooches...sometimes. I enjoy naps, and they typically are at face level with the pooches, which is usually on some floor pillow and in the summer on the outdoor furniture (which I let the pooches on, whenever A is not around).
Miss M usually takes this opportunity to nap with me. Mr. B, on the other hand, believes that this is the best time to give smooches. At which point, I'm so groggy that I'm telling him to stop to no avail. I have even tried the same calming signals that he gives me,
but the lip licking calming signal ended in an uncomfortable tongue to tongue moment and the time I tried the yawning calming signal ended with him licking my teeth and the roof of my mouth.
That video should be called "when pit bulls attack". Tag team love fest. Mugsy can also get into a mode where all he wants to do is lick you. He knows the command "I Love You" and if you show him your ear he will lick it. However, when he gets into "licking mode" the top of my head gets most of the attention. Must have something to do with the way a buzzed head feels on his tongue. What a bunch of goofy puppies we have.
This made me LAUGH! The video is hilarious with Miss M singing and looking sad in the background. As you guys know, Zoe loves giving smooches to the point where it's overwhelming. Feet, legs, ears, and face -- especially face! And we've definitely had the same awkward tongue moment, which delighted Z. but had me running to go brush my teeth!
Nala dreams of standing on a street corner with a "Free Kisses" sign...I really should make one for her and take her downtown to greet all the Chicago tourists!!!
That's too cute! Roxy and Cash generally refrain from kissing our faces, but they have a before-bed ritual where they lick each others' eyes. Yes, that's right, EYES! It soothes them both to sleep. :)
I'm lucky(?) that my Sadie restrains herself to a single lick or two. No face baths here. Hurley only licks if he smells remnants of food and Maggie prefers to lick toes (weird and kinda gross).

In my experience bully breeds love to give smooches on the face more than other types of dogs! Bender loves to do it to small children which receives a mixed response. Barbie will give a face kiss if you ask for it but she really hates it when you get up in her face, lip licking and cheek puffing, and making her eyes all big... Bender loves it but he might give you a headbutt along with the kiss!
I prefer to give a smooch on the lips, my sister Bella prefers to lick ears you know a really good wet willy, my other sister Sweet Pea she is new to the kissing game but she's learning and now offers them to Mom and Dad without any request.
