Before we got rid of our television, I used to watch a lot of terrible reality television.
Does anyone remember Average Joe? (Please tell me I wasn't the only one!).
It was memorable for the fact she still picked the good-looking guy at the end, and this one quote.
When the contestants are told they are going camping, one guy refuses to go because he just can't understand the fun of packing all of your indoor stuff, marching outside, unpacking it, sitting on it, packing it up again, and marching it back inside.
Sure it defies logic, but why is it so much fun?
Each summer the city of Chicago gives us opportunities to march our inside stuff outside and all hang out together for free movies in the park.
We bring the blankets and picnic dinners. Chicago brings the big movie screen.
And Mr. B brings his stuffy.
Isn't everything twice as fun when enjoyed outdoors?

Oh yes, I remember Average Joe! And they totally gave the guys makeovers and stuff and turned them into douchebags, hahahaha.
Love this idea! Erie does them every once in awhile, but I never knew about them until recently. They were supposed to have one last weekend, and we packed up and went...but as soon as we got there it started raining. BOO. And Edi was being so good...
I love the pic of M with her eyes closed and she's smiling!! I think Annie and Paul would love this!
We have this in DC but yours seems more enjoyable from start to finish. The DC one feels like a constant hassle of epic proportion! Maybe we will come to your!
That looks like great fun. Wish they did something like that in Baltimore. Though even if they did it would end up with someone getting shot.
That sounds like so much fun... I wonder how Boomer and Dottie would do if they were allowed to come along to a show...
What a fun outing with the pups! Chicago is such a delightful city! :)
that looks awesome!! there is an outdoor cinema here but it's in the bar district so I'm not sure my puppies would enjoy being in that part of town. I might try it one summer evening though.
What a fun night. Movies in the park are the best

What fun! I'd love to take Moby out to movies in the park sometime! Turk and Ru would hate it!

Looks like lots of fun at the outdoor movies! I had to laugh at Miss M sitting in your lap.
I noticed that Mr. B has a carabiner on his collar. Is there a reason? Would you recommend that?
@Jacquelin Cangro: We started using caribiners as a double-safety for leash clips that can come unclasped. An extra safety precaution. We wrote more about it here: http://pittiesincity.blogspot.com/2013/07/sociabulls-on-leash-safety-and.html
Oh, how cool - a dogfriendly movie place! :-)
Outdoor cinemas are really big here in Australia and my humans have been enjoying going go the ones in Sydney - and now the ones here in Perth - but they're not always dogfriendly, sadly, so I haven't gotten to go yet. Your outing looks great! :-)

I love how Mr. B color coordinated his stuffie with the blanket. He's so awesome!!
An outdoor movie sounds like a lot of fun. Mom and Dad have been talking about taking us to the drive-in movie theater.
Are your pictures getting better and better? I think so!
They look like they are having so much fun!
