Mr. B Cuddles on His Own Terms

Though it is even hard for me to believe, there was a time that I was afraid to get close to Mr. B. When I first saw Mr. B on Petfinder I knew we were going to be best friends forever, well somewhat, luckily I was with A who ensured that we became best friends forever.
Even though Mr. B was part of our family a month before we started the blog, a part of me believed in some of the stereotypes about pit bulls and I was wary around him. Eventually, I realized my fear was irrational and Mr. B became my favorite pillow pet.
Apparently Mr. B believed in some of the negative stereotypes about humans. Though he would reluctantly get cuddled by me, he would not initiate the cuddle session. Overtime, Mr. B has realized that his fear was irrational and now whenever I am laying on the huge Molly Mutt bed he will snuggle up close to me, even though he has so much space, and now I am his favorite pillow pet.
Are you someone's favorite pillow pet?

This is officially my new favorite post! I am a pillow pet to two cuddlers. One is an adorable pittie too, but even he has nothing on the cuteness that is Mr. B. Oh that face!!

Snuggling with your pet is the best! It took my dog a good two to three years to decide that I was an acceptable human pillow. Now he can't get enough and I feel blessed.

This is truly the best. post. ever. Ok, maybe the best Mr. B post ever, cuz Miss M is in a totally different stratosphere, but I digress...

I love Mr. B! He looks very much like my guy, and though our Brutus outweighs Mr. B by around 30 lbs he's still a master class cuddler too!

I don't think I would survive without my daily snuggles with Baxter. After a long day at school, I can't wait to sit down with my favorite lap dog. I can literally feel the stress of the day melting away while we snuggle in the recliner.

We are happy to be pillow pets for our pup. When we got our second dog, Lily (who we sadly recently lost), our first, Cooper, definitely cuddled on his own terms with her. In the end, they would happily smoosh in together though. Us humans have been approved as appropriate snugglers since Day 1! :) Aren't pillow pets the best?!

I have to admit, we chose our foster based on his description and we he would fit into our lifestyle better than another one that was suggested. Later when they sent the photo, I was taken aback at how slightly menacing he looked. I've had pit bull type dogs and so understand how sweet they are or can be. I'm so glad that we were matched based on what worked for our family rather than on whether he was cuter or not. Because he is absolutely a gem. He's got such a personality that you can't help but love. I made sure to submit new photos immediately so people can see the soft and playful side of him. Just goes to show you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover or a dog by it's breed.
