DoggyStyle: Home Dog Treat Bar

I have always been enamored by Petco's Treat Bar. It's the same type of excitement I have going through a buffet; there are so many possibilities and I just want to get one of everything.Though I'm sure the pooches can't really tell the difference.
I always had this treat bar in mind as we were putting together our place. With two people and two dogs in a two-bedroom condo, storage space is at a premium. And if we're going to have our stuff out on the counters, I'd at least like it to look organized. We picked up these glass canisters from the Target kitchen section. I can't find the exact ones we have, but these and these are a bit similar. Plus, I think any clear jar would work. I think the glass also makes the treats like like art in a way. The more types of treats you have, the cooler it will look. We're obviously still working on variation.
The best part is it has now become really convenient, like a cookie jar, to just grab a treat; especially when E is making the ultimate kongs. With the one on the end, you might even be able to re-enact the movie Cocktail.

Miss M sure was interested in those treats!! What a great idea! W aren't super creative with our treats so our acounter would have one jar and it would look like rabbit pellets! Gotta love Zuke's! :)

Those treat jars are definitely more elegant looking than my old plastic horse cookie jar that I currently use for the guys' treats. I may have to break down and get some classy treat jars now.

We have a treat bar of sorts as well but right now, it looks like a tornado hit it! We are not very organized. I seriously need a maid and a decorator. Will you come to our house? LOL!

Yes, your dog treat bar looks much nicer than what we currently store our treats in. I may have to do a little shopping this weekend :) Great idea!

We do the same thing! err, similar. Zeus gets the same treats, that's too funny (I thought I was the only one buying the small treats for my big pup). Our jars are frosted, from Ikea, but the same idea. I'd recommend Ikea too, ours have held up very well, and they were cheap!!
What fun!! Great post!

We love Petco treat bar. But is some buddy being tortured by having to stare at their treats.BOL Your treat bar looks better than Petcos

we pour all out treats into one jar and mix all the types together. The pups never know what they might get!

We got a ceramic container for Darwin's puppy shower, but I like the idea of a glass container you can see through! Lucky pups get a good variety of treats!

I wish we had the space for a treat bar on our counter, but unfortunately priority rules and we both think it is more important to be able to prepare food on our limited counterspace. I have been looking for fun glass jars to display his goodies in the pantry, only I would see them but it would sure look a lot nicer than boxes and bags!

What a great idea!! The clear glass really works, like that you can see the treats! Most of the treat jars on the market are opaque and means I have to go fishing around inside to find the good treats!

Great photos! I am normally not a "things on the counter" kind of person, but I really like your jars and we are currently cabinet-less (using storage shelving as cabinets until we're ready to remodel), so I'm learning to artfully display everything that would normally be hidden behind a cabinet door. Wicker baskets and decorative jars have become me new addiction!

haha you must be more coordinated than our Mom & Dad. We don't have glass anything in our house! Those treats do look delish, though!

booker and asa's treats are hidden in a cabinet. i think it's a cute idea to have a treat bar like that, but i wonder if booker and asa could handle having to stare at their treats all day? heehee.

I love how you separated the treats by color to make it more interesting. are those Mother Hubbard? My Rocky loves the black ones the most.
