Earlier this week we packed up the car to go camping up in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The last time we went car camping was when we drove to Kalamazoo, Michigan to adopt Mr. B. Even though we haven't used the tent in a few years it was still relatively easy to set up and had ample room for all four of us. Here is a nice snapshot of the tent Mr. B took with his camera.
The tent has this nice extension that allows us to store gear outside the tent, but covered from the elements.
The pooches chose to use it as shelter from the sun and a place to hang out while A and I sat by the fire at night. It was nice because the pooches could come and go as they pleased.
Since we were in the woods, the extension also gave the pooches shelter from the mosquitos. A great shot of the woods that surrounded us from Mr. B's camera.
There was plenty of room in the tent for all four of us. We probably could have fit two more dogs or another person.
We think this brought Mr. B flashbacks about his first 24 hours with us.
Ms. M felt right at home in the tent, especially since her bed was all set up for her.
Except at one point she kept looking out longing and whining. We thought she really had to go potty,
but it looked like all she wanted to do was eat the tall vegetation.

Looks like a lot of fun! My mom & dad have yet to attempt a night with me on the boat... they think I'm going to hog the tiny bed they sleep on... they're probably right ;-)

That's great, how well the dogs took to camping and the tent. They look very happy to be out in the great wilderness!
What kind of tent do you have? We are looking for one big enough to fit us and the boys!

Great pics and nothing like camping with the fur-kids. We tent camped for years, just recently got a 26 ft travel trailer to take the hound babies in. Where did you get the camera that they use all the time? HoundDogMom

We haven't got to go camping this year. And I've only been once in my whole life and it wasn't all that fun cuz these gnat-bugs kept trying to eat me and I gots little red dots all over my belly cuz of it. Dad got eaten up, too, but mom and Brudder Ranger were fine. It was kinda weird. Anyway, they finally packed everything up and we left a day early. They said camping's not always like that but I'm not so sure I believe them.
Oh, and I really, really do thinks Miss M and me are related. Cuz I likes to chomp on foreign vegetation wherever we go, too!

My husband has tried to convince me to camp with him and Levi, but without success. In my mind, you just need so much gear that, a) I don't want to buy; and, b) we have no place to store. But Mr. B. and Ms. M. do make it look like fun. I love that you brought their dog beds. No "roughing it" for them (and I would absolutely do the same).
Camping looks like so much fun! My mom has been promising me a camping trip for years!!

That's a nice area! I'll bet the pooches were thrilled. I am starting to think that dogs might be part Guernsey cow. Mine are all obsessed with eating the tall sweetgrass too!

My mum won't go camping cuz of da bugs but I tells her I'll eat them fur hers...they goes crunchy crunch when you eats them.
