Mr. B also doesn't understand going around barriers, pooches or people. If Mr. B wants to get somewhere and you happen to be in his way, expect to get bulldozed. His foster mom informed us that he was once adopted and returned because he knocked over the adopter's child and stepped on him.
Every so often we will visit this secret dog park early in the morning, because it is quiet and empty. Once Mr. B is in the park, he will run a few laps at full-speed knocking over anything that happens to be in his path. A couple happened to bring in their puppy and dropped the puppy right in the middle of the path Mr. B was running. The poor puppy bounced off Mr. B like a flea and Mr. B kept running, not realizing that he ran into something.
Even in the house, Mr. B does not realize that he shares the place with another pooch. We always kong the pooches when we leave and sometimes Mr. B's Kong will end up in a precarious spot and he will do anything to get that Kong, even if it includes upsetting Miss M. See what happens and why he refuses to go back to the scene of the crime.
Can you believe he moved that whole crate with Miss M in it and pushed over and flipped the toy bin? He knew he was in trouble, no wonder why he scurried back like a little mouse. Miss M always finds a way to get back.

Poor Mr. B!! My Rosie is the same way. She gets the zooms and look out! She has knocked me over on many occasions, and forget the bed. If she wants that spot she will get it!!
Bender barely ever changes trajectory when he is chasing a ball. It's OK when we are throwing it but often tween boys want to throw it - some of them are OK but they have no idea that Bender won't run around things. In a hair raising moment at the park last weekend, Barbie was heading in at about 50kmh, and the boy threw Bender's ball ... they missed by an inch or two. It could have been a very unhappy ride to the vet if they had collided head on!
It's ok, Mr. B, all in time. Besides, woo look so cute, so it's ok even if you hoard toys. Woo only have to share when the two-leggers are looking. That's what I do. :)

I did not realize that Mr. B & Pauley had so much in common. I myself have been knocked over & many times knocked out of my shoes, when getting in Pauley's way while he is playing.
I just wonder what Ms. M was thinking while Mr. B was moving her crate around, haha. It must have been quite the ride!
Can we join the crazy zoomie-right-through-you club? I'll never forget the time I got a phone call from poor M after he'd been bulldozed by Alfred in the back yard...his knees were in bad shape for weeks!
awww I love Mr. B!
And so funny, because I was just wondering the other day if it's coincidence that I, a socially awkward scientist, have two socially inept pooches.
BOL! I love Miss. M's face in that last picture! Mr. B sure is silly... but I'd do the same thing!

Badger gets the careless zoomies around his favorite toy, Mushroom. Just yesterday he almost knocked me over while chasing her into the living room. And when she would rather be left alone, he'll "knead" her back with his paws and nibble her ears until we tell him to leave her alone. All while she's expertly ignoring him. He's That Guy who goes around the office trying to talk to people who are clearly busy but too polite to just shoo him away.
Now that we have a yard I always have playdates at home but we used to occasionally go to the dogpark at quiet times or in bad weather so he could play. He was running around with 2 german shepherd puppies once and the zipped past their owner, one on either side. Billy ran straight through the guys legs and knocked him flat on his back.
I never knew Mr. B was a return. Obviously he ended up hitting the jackpot, but what an absurd reason to return a dog! If you have young kids and your dog is over 40 pounds, they might get knocked over at some point! I've heard worse reasons for returning a dog though--like the hair showed up too much on the new couch!
Ha! Gosh you just can't help butt luv the guy to bits :D
Waggin at ya,
Roo

Oh, but you have to love that big lug! Sometimes, Oliver is the same way: the shortest distance between two points is straight through the human!
