During our daily walks we have been getting more parents and kids flocking to the pups asking to meet and pet them.
Miss M loves the attention and at the mere thought that anyone wants to pet her she begins wiggling and smiling. Her favorite thing is to pop up and give big kisses on the face.
Mr. B, on the other hand, is the perfect pup to be petted.
He doesn't seek out the attention, and he stands there motionless just accepting the pet.
Even though Miss M loves meeting people so much, we often direct children to pet still-standing Mr.
B knowing he won't try to sneak smooches onto kids' faces.
So even though Mr. B isn't the one who seeks petting, he actually gets petted more than Miss M.
Do you have a pooch that loves to get petted so much that they are unpetable?
Also:
They do have this in common.
Happy!

Petey will start moaning with happy anticipation as soon as someone looks at him1 Which is a fairly recent phenomenon although he has always been like Miss M and wiggled and smiled with glee. He can't hold still, which is why he flunked out of Therapy Dog 2 :). And ...like a 2 year old person he can get so carried away with the joy of getting attention he gets hysterical and jumps up and down....
This is our dogs exactly. Our pittie loves people so much she will also get her crazy wiggle and want to lick a person to death. Our little mutt on the other hand doesn't really care and stands quietly with a polite tail wag. She's a bit less intimidating and a great height for small children so she usually gets more love. However she loves ears and has been known to nibble on them!
Adorable. I wiggle my hiney and get submissively low to the ground. Edward stands there and takes it all in

Bella has always enjoyed the attention and compliments she gets as we go on our walks. If someone she doesn't know wants to pet her, she will just stand there and let them do it. If it's someone she has already met... her butt wiggles so hard and the whip of a tail wags uncontrollably as her front legs hop in the air.
Yes, my big pittie Booster gets TOO excited to be pet and goes up for kisses and head butts people :( Actually, does anyone have any tips to stop this? I want people to be able to give him love and socialize without getting knocked out! Any suggestions would be welcome :)
Oh yes. Badger gets so excited that he's wiggling and jumping and trying to sit but then falls over for a belly rub. Mushroom isn't that interested in strangers and has been known to walk away mid-pet.
Oh yeah. My Karma loves getting petted, but she always gets really hyper and starts downing the petter with kisses.
Yes! Kaya often freaks people out with her exuberance and she also goes for the"pop" kiss that is usually unwelcomed. Like Mr B, Norman stands calmly but he also loves it and loves giving kisses. I love taking him on errands with me so he can meet tons of people.
There is no reluctance with Wilbur; he just assumes everyone desires a huge pitty kiss. I will admit though that when I see someone walk into the dog park and they have little kids with them, I leash the kissing bandit. He doesn't understand that people come in different sizes.
