Pooches: Mr. B in the Buck
It's strange that Mr. B has been part of our household for almost two years. In a blink of an eye, all that time has passed. In the beginning, we looked everywhere to find Mr. B a blue pirate skull collar to compliment Ms. M's pink pirate skull collar. Then it was getting all of Mr. B's necessary dog tags including the one for his insurance, Trupanion. Even though he doesn't need the "Adopted from Kalamazoo Animal Rescue" we keep it on him, because we are proud of the organization that rescued him. The same goes for Ms. M and her "New Leash on Life" rescue identification tag. Ms. M loves when we change out or add new tags to her collar, she loves the "bling" as A likes to put it. So whenever we see the pooches without their collars, they really do look like they are running around buck naked.Thank you so much Kalamazoo Animal Rescue and New Leash On Life for bringing two amazing pooches into our lives.

I always think our pups look naked too!
I'm so glad you found such great places to rescue the pups from and now their lives are so much better because of it!
Speaking of bling, I've been wanting to order one of these for my boys. Plus, they'll donate 20% of your order to BAD RAP (if you use coupon code CABA01), another awesome pit bull rescue in San Francisco.
Dexter definitely needs one that says "scratch my butt", while Ernie's will most likely say "face rapist."
The Pitties EXPOSED!
BOL!
Hmmmm...Petey goes around "au naturel" quite often. I think he's an exhibitionist!
You guys are so fortunate to have found such a wonderful home and pawrents

I always laugh when we take off Darwin's collar 'cause she does look naked! I never know what tags we're supposed to leave on her collar... she has her id tag, trupanion tag, rabies tag, license tag.... her microchip tag we've taken off cause it just seems like way too many tags!
Our girls love to be naked! They love their bling, too!
You got two great dogs there! I'm glad wonderful groups like that exist!
two wonderful dogs, indeed!! i'm glad they have such a loving home. :)
it's funny that you mention the "naked" thing. we take off asa's collar (aka necklace) in the evening, and when we do, she knows that it's time to relax for the night. :)
(booker usually keeps his collar because he doesn't sleep with us...he kept getting up in the night and waking asa up to play. lol. he sleeps in the laundry room.)
the booker man and asa's mama
I always tease Daisy for being naked when she isn't wearing her collar. My border collie, Seamus, has such a long mane that you can't really tell, but on a smooth coated solid colored dog the difference is jarring.
We talk about the "naked" thing too! Whenever we have to take the dogs' collars off we call them nudists and make fun of them. Maybe not mature, but it's funny :)
once she started teething her ears just went crazy. like all over the place. I was worried they were going to stay like that, but the eventually calmed down.
AHHH!!! I love naked dogs! Rusty LURVES to get scratches where his collar lays on his neck.
I TOTALLY know what you mean on the naked front! My dogs look so weird collar-less ;)
Well done to fabulous rescue orgs :)
My dogs hate to go without their collars. I guess if your only possessions are your collar, your food bowl and your blanket, you might not want to lose one of them.
we love having naked dogs running around :) we try and do it often but it doesn't happen as much as we would like
When I was growing up, our daschund PeeWee hated to be naked. We'd take his collar off and say, "Naked doggy, naked doggy!" and he would whine and cry and try to nose his way back into his collar. Shame on us, we did this for fun and it's no wonder he bit everyone in town!!
Stella loves her collar too. She dances around when I take it off and usually watches where I put it. It's amazing how long her neck is without it. Always reminds me of a horse :)
My kids do not like it when I take their "jewelry" off.
They don't wear their tags because I'm too afraid of them getting stuck in their crates and I change their collars all the time - they're like clothes.
Thank God Old Navy sells super-cute, super-inexpensive collars.
Second-chance dogs are just the best.
And it's such a compliment when you're "approved" to adopt from a rescue group.
Aw, that is so sweet! I just love the idea of Ms. M. checking her reflection out when she gets new bling. Levi is always "nakie" (as we call it at home. One of my favorite bonding activities with him is giving him neck scratches every time I take his collar off after a walk. For a relatively aloof dog, he surprisingly reminds me when I forget.
