Pooches: Mr. B's Whip

Mr. B is such an excitable dog that he is normally wagging his tail.

Usually, Ms. M's face is the victim of his whipping tail, but there are times that A and I feel the force of his whipping tail. Whenever we come home, his tail seems to whip full force and we can hear it hitting all sorts of inanimate objects. One problem is that these objects are usually really hard, and they damage the tip of Mr. B's tail. Whenever he is bleeding, we try to stop his tail from wagging without much success.
Here is Mr. B running around and whipping the kitchen table and other furniture with his tail.

Poor guy! He just can't control his excitement! Ollie has a tendency to hit Flash with his tail, so she sympathizes with Miss M. Ollie's tail actually goes in a circular motion when we come home. It's hilarious because it only happens when either D or I get home.

I so know how that is. Petey is a major tail wagger and more than once, I've been on the receiving end of one of his slaps. Exactly like getting hit by a whip - painful! I can tell when he's coming downstairs to visit me because I hear his tail hitting the wall as he passes by. I marvel that he hasn't hurt himself so far.

My parents have an English Pointer that has a very strong tail that is right at croch height. My husband now wears a cup when we go over there. LOL

Our poor little Buster is just the right height to get Charlie tail smack in the face most of the time. He spends a lot of time backing up and moving out of the way!

Oh, we've been victims of the greyhound whip tails too! Yeeouch! I've been told that a soft hair curler over the end helps when they break the end open on things, to help let it heal!

I didn't realise tail wagging could be so dangerous. I LOVE seeing Penny wagging her tail, but it's not nearly as frenetic as that, and since she doesn't always bother to even stand up, her fluffy tail just dusts the floor for us.

Mr. B is so cute! He's just the poster child for pit bulls with his wagging tail and big smile! Hmm, I've never had to worry about Levi's tail hitting stuff. He only gets really excited when we come home (initially only, not when one person is home then the other arrives) and about food, but it's more like, "his giant head is coming my way-move!" rather than, "watch out for that whip tail!"

haha, asa does the exact same thing as mr. b. she has whacked booker in the face many times, but her favorite trick is to knock things off of the coffee table. :)

Baily has happy tail. It hurts and leaves bruises. The daycare/boarding place we used in Alaska was trained on how to avoid issues after the first two times she split the tip of her tail. They would crate the dogs at night but every time she saw a human her tail would wag so hard it would hit the crate. They started putting her in a great dane sized crate that they lined with cargo blankets for sleeping. We miss that place!
