Like most dogs, Ms. M is extremely food motivated. Mr. B is also food motivated, but Ms. M takes the food motivation to another level. Ms. M is actually the food police in our place.
She has to inspect any and all food dishes that are within smelling distance.
Sometimes she feels the need to verify her suspicions by licking the food.
In the morning, she will make sure that we are awake for her breakfast. Sometimes she will give us subtle reminders by slamming into our bed and sticking her face on the bed.
Other times, her stomach would growl so loud that it would wake us up immediately from a deep sleep. When we are in the kitchen getting her food ready, she likes to monitor to ensure that she gets a fair amount of food as compared to Mr. B.
If we make her go to bed, she will keep a close eye on us to make sure that food is properly distributed.
Though we have showcased their dinner antics before. In this video, you can see that both pooches are quite subdued when it comes to getting dinner.

I need to have a looong talk with those two. They need to learn the benefits of playing hard to get. I get them to beg ME to eat. It's much better than the other way around from where I sit. Franklin's a lot easier and eats anything they give him, but I'm working with him. So far he's learned to tell them he prefers to sleep in a bit and doesn't want breakfast at the break of dawn, thank you very much.
lotsa licks, Lola
Love the video! That's pretty similar to what goes on at our house. They do a good job of sitting beforet he pantry is open, then Ollie immediately sprints down the hall to his room, and throws himself full force into his cage. Flash likes to try and sneak into the pantry and nose dive into the bag of food. Sometimes, she is successful. Most times, Ollie leaves his cage and peers around the bedroom door to see if we're coming. I love feeding time at our house...makes me laugh every day!
Your pooches are so well behaved! When I hear the word dinner, well, that's all I hear!!
Oh, Momma needed to see that video this morning! Gave her a good giggle! She just loves your pooches! I'm with Lola... mom gets super excited when I'm actually interested in eating. She now mixes in a spoonful of wet food with my breakfast so I eat it. She tried everything with me, and one day I went on a 3 day fast.

aww soo cute, Koda gets all excited like that and runs back between you and the dish and the spot where his dishes are supposed to go. Sophie only gets really excited when their are treats involved and then she tries to climb your leg.
That is way too cute, what a good listener!
haha very cute. Mesa acts like that in our house!

omg, they are sooo cute! I just love pitties so much. Cutest dogs EVER.
I just love her face! Her expressions say it all!
I think Miss M needs to come offer and teach Leroy some lessons:)
omg how did you teach them to "go to bed" like that?? I have to learn your tricks!
OH MY Ms. M you are quite the dinner dancer aren't you?!?! Thanks fur sharin'

I love her pretty twirling!
Food is such an important resource and we learned early if we were ever going to get a semblance of control over the wakcadoo we would have to work on her "wait" command. It looks like your doggies definitely know what their job is, and they do it with such enthusiasm!
I have eight dinner dancers, one quiet patient girl and one who has to be coaxed to eat. I'll take the dancers over the picky eaters any time.
Wow, what a 'Happy Meal Dance'.
At our house, we call that the 'I have the car keys and leash dance'!
Wyatt and Stanzie
What funnies!! BOL!
She needs a meal inspector badge :)
Oh my goodness....they were sooooo excited!
That video is 100 kinds of awesome. Melanie is similarly excited at meal times. I'll have to take a video of it sometime too. She and Ms. M would make quite the pair ;)
Incredible self control on Ms. M's part! She can sniff and lick a food item without gobbling it up whole!! I once left Emma home alone uncrated. She tore the TV off the wall in an attempt to get a box with treat CRUMBS in it that was on a shelf above it. Total fiend.
Awesome go to bed, btw.
Well, SOMEBODY has to keep an eye on the food in the house. And heaven forbid your clocks stop - how else would you know when it is dinner time?!? (Or breakfast time - talk about the perfect alarm clock! Really, who likes to 'sleep in'?) We're just jealous about the dinner time antics - Mom let us do that until one of us (who might have been me) knocked Mom down (in all fairness to Mom, she was on tile, in socks and was bending down to get something). After that little incident, Mom has been very insistent with the 'Wait' command. *sheesh*
Keep up the good work, Ms. M!
*kissey face*

Cute video! Ms M did NOT want to go to bed, huh. The only excitement we get like that is when Ellie is about to go out.
Such a cute video!
Hugs,
Ms M takes her food inspector job very seriously. Good girl! Your video is too cute. One of Kona's favorite words is 'dinner' but she won't let me subject her to twirling.
I love this video! They really are two of the cutest and smartest dogs I know!
Your pall, Pip
They are adorable!!!!!!
My guys would tell me to get into the kennel... ha ha!!
Ha ha ha ha ha! I had to watch that video twice! They are so funny. Miss M certainly knows how to keep things lively!
Heehee! We watched that movie and then we made dad watch it, too. Everybuddy's SOOOOO happy that it's dinnertime! And I likes Miss M's spinning. She's such a good dinner dancer. I get really excited, too. But even I might not be THAT excited!
Thank you for just making our day! Okay, gotta go. I'm feeling hungry for some reason.
Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
You sure soundlike me. I wake mom every day at 4:50am

We LOVE this! We've never seen you guys so animated before.
Miss M and Kayla have a lot in common with the supervising of the food distribution. Kayla definitely rules the kitchen in our house.
