--And much like we make preparations to keep our lights on so people don't realize we're gone, we also leave our blog "on" so people don't know our place is empty--
We have found Tulum to be the perfect antidote to city living. The beaches are not crowded; there are groupings of cabanas along the beachfront which are all eco-friendly. We stayed at Playa Mambo which has a cluster of 8 thatched roof cabanas. It's cozy and rustic and everyone is very, very nice. Plus, we were only a 20 second walk to the beach. We even had our own beach-dog "Molly".
We spent the time enjoying the sunshine and playing with our cameras.
Meanwhile, we came home to some very tired pooches. They also had a 'vacation' where they lived at their daycare. They spent a couple of days looking like this:

I am just loving your vacation. We really want to go to Mexico for our five yr. anniversary this June, but I'm not sure if we can. The pics are awesome and it looks like you had a great time.

My mom and dad went away last week too! But not to anywhere with nice beaches like that!

What a nice break! Its so cool you have a pittie friendly daycamp there. Most of the places here banned all bully breeds. I do have a day camp/care that works with me and Daisy when I go out of town. Also all the traineers I have used all say the same thing. No dog parks!
Well, I don't think I'd like being a beach dog. I don't really care for big water that moves. Okay, I don't really care for water all that much. Except to drink. I LUV to drink water.
But my mom is all mooney-eyed over your pictures and wishing SHE could go to the beach. Weird.

I feel like Tulum is your go-to vacation spot! The beaches are lovely there :) Good choice!
you really have become tulum's spokesperson, maybe well look into it for our after grad school fun! its funny you keep your blog on, because law student is so social media obsessed we always make sure to fourquare, twitter, or facebook from whrever we are so people don't know the apt is empty!
Looks like you had a wonderful trip! You picked the right week to leave town - it was awful weather here in Chi-Town. Hope you and the pooches were able to get outside and enjoy the sun this weekend!
Your pal, Pip
We went away recently too and Opie was at an "unleashed" cage free day care. Opie slept in the car on the way home. Drank water and plopped down on his bed and never budged, then when it was bed time, woke up jumped into our bed and didn't budge..even for 6:45 potty time. They just exhaust themselves and I think they are a little stressed from missing us. It's so nice to have our puppies back.
Does your place have a web cam?
Glad you were able to have a good vacation! It's great to get away. :)

Tulum is beautiful! We went to Cancun for our honeymoon and visited there one day. I'll bet you got some amazing pictures while you were there!
Sounds like a nice and relaxing getaway. Living so close to Mexico all we hear is how dangerous it is and to stay away. Bet your kids were happee to see you

Welcome back! Did you do any scuba diving? I know that look - Lady and Lucky always have a couple of comatose days after a week at the daycare. Makes me wonder if they stay awake the whole time we're gone!
Wow, what a nice vacation! Glad you had a good time!
What a pretty vacation spot! And not crowded or icky. So glad you had a good time and now you're back :)
Looks like a beautiful place. I'm glad you and the pooches had great vacations. I love when Tommy comes home from boarding all pooped out like that!
I'm really behind, but welcome back from your trip! It looks much less touristy and insanely huge than the resort I just stayed in while in Cancun. I know how hard it is to leave the dogs, but at least you have something to talk about every night at dinner!
