Pooches: Stuffed Mr. B

Mr. B is very picky when it comes to his toys. His favorite toys are usually the fluffy ones that squeak. Unfortunately, he is a strong chewer and these toys usually do not last long.
However, we have used some techniques to stop him from completely destroying all of his fluffy toys. We rotate the toys, so he gets to play with each fluffy toy a little at a time. We try to buy toys that are touted to last longer, such as the Tuffys Pet Toys from VIP products.
A has even been able to train Mr. B to be gentle with his toys. Though he will jump at the toy, thrash it around and try to tear it apart, the moment A tells him gentle, he will stop chewing and will sometimes lick the toy. In the video you could see Mr. B's excitement over seeing all of his toys.

Your restrain is REMARKABLE! I like to de-stuff my toys immediately. Always makes mom kinda mad.

Hilarious! Jordie is the true stuffie destroyer here although Roxy runs him a close second. I also rotate their toys so they'll last longer (and not get so disgusting with drool as fast).

Aww how cute! I love him carrying his stuffies! Just like a little kid getting excited in a toystore, Mr. B gets real excited when his toys are out. Nice that you got him to be gentle with them on command -- saves a lot of stuffie wear and tear.

Leroy is the best at destroying toys! Sometimes I am amazed at what is actually in some of them.
It's scarey!
Mr B looks so happy playing with all his toys:)

Mom started buying me the really cheap toys, because I get so much enjoyment out of destroying them!

That made me laugh. Dogs are ridiculous, love it.

Great video!! I love the simi-sliding legs and bounce! Mr. B needs to give a restraint lesson to miss Kona. I think one of her joys in life is de-stuffing stuffies.

PS-Your bike is so fun! Love the front basket. One of the joys of city life (IMO)!

Hunter will de-stuff anything... toys, pillows, her bed, blankets, anyyyything if she is left alone!!!! Lola just likes to carry hers around and Odie is a baby so he likes to teethe on his Kong....

Sienna loves to destroy her stuffies too, although as she's gotten older she doesn't destroy them unless company is over (to show off/make a mess). Sadly she doesn't like any of the toughie toys or ones without stuffing. Getting the stuffing and squeaker out is just so thrilling for her. So we just let her do it. I buy them online and get the puzzle toys with multiple "eggs" or squirrels for her to play with.

Oh my gosh, I love the video! I might have to try some of those Tuffys since Luffy likes to destroy his toys in minutes if given the chance. Usually we just give him a couple at a time and take them away before they're completely gutted.

Mr. B!!! You run like my Anakin Man!!! And was that a little piggy we saw you playing with? Anakin says he has one too!! And you run like a bunny (sorry...but it's cute, and Anakin runs like that)
I bet it's cute to see you run in the snow too!!

What a great collection of toys!!

IzZY destroys her toys... she is the worst.. pulls out all the stuffing and eye balls and de squeaks them... and then moves on to the next... the toy rotation is great.. and we will have to check out that toy brand!!!

Hugs!!

My momma hoards my toys too. NOT FAIR! But gosh, having them all out at once looks a bit confusing.

Oh, Mr. B. You're so very much adorable! You sure were happy to see all your toys. I think you might wanna talk to those peoples who make that show "Hoarders." Cuz it seems like your pawrents are hoarding your toys. And that's just not healthy.

Oh, he's having so much fun! Franklin can do in a stuffy, too. Although his favorite is so big he's only crippled its legs so far.

lotsa licks, Lola

We have the same problem with our dog, we've found that these two tend to last longer, one because it's not actually stuffed and the other because it has all sorts of short plushy "hair" to deal with before she can tear into him.

We love your blog! Just caught up on the last few posts we missed. We also buy the "Tuff" toys. They last a while, Daisy has eventually ripped them up, but it usually takes months of working on them. Love the video! Daisy has a toy in her mouth when ever she greats a new friend at the door.

I think that's a wonderful achievement, to train him to be gentle with his toys when you ask for it.
