Maybe it's because there are a lot of pit bull-type dogs in our group.
Or maybe it's because of our name.
But many people think we are a pit bull-only group:
We know all dogs can benefit from positive, structured socialization, and we love having all types, sizes, and breeds of dogs in our group. Our members range from a 7 lb Chihuahua to an extra-large Great Dane.
As pitbull owners, we know what it's like to be excluded. We love how our group is so inclusive.
And our dogs are just dogs walking together.

We wish we could join your group!
I've been meaning to ask - Do all of your members have cars? Do your members ever carpool? I've thought of starting a walking group where I live but I don't own a car, which really limits walking options.
We are also an all-inclusive group - but the funny thing about our group is that we have MORE non-pitties than pitties in our group. I love all of the different dogs coming together and showing what responsible dog ownership (not just responsible PITTIE ownership) looks like! :)

I've always thought it was mostly a Pittie group. We definitely agree that walks are very good for our pups, though! :)
Man, I really wish we had one of these in NYC. Could've really used it with my pittie foster last winter.
Alanna: Not all members do have cars, but since we vary the routes throughout the city each week there is a chance that there will be one within their walking distance. We know some members who use I-Go cars, some do carpool if their dogs get along.
