SociaBulls: On Changing it Up

While we love our Chicago SociaBulls walking group for so many reasons, I've just realized one new reason: it really forces us to 'change it up'.
Sure we take our pups on several daily walks, and even though we try to vary up the route I still know which patch of grass Miss M will gravitate towards and which curb Mr. B will leap over.
Our new walking locations mix it up for all of us and present new challenges.
Mainly goose poo.

Miss M is so obsessed with goose poo, she has been treating every walk like a buffet.
We spend most of our walk toggling between practicing check-ins with me, with really good eye-contact, to remembering the plethora of goose poo in the grass and lunging her entire body weight towards it.
And I do make sure to bring treats that should taste better than goose poo.
The one positive side-effect is she is now really good at practicing her check-ins on our daily walks where there is no threat of goose poo.
Though it's still a work-in-progress on our SociaBulls walks.

Anyone else have any success dealing with goose poo?

Silly human -- nothing tastes better than goose poo. Unless it's a day-old, half-eaten sausage biscuit from McDonalds that has been run over a couple of times. Only that.

Yikes! We've never had a run in with goose poo (yet) but I'm sure Edison would find it most delectable! That's one thing I've been trying to get across for our walking group -- everyone has something to work on!

Douglas Park on Sunday had a ton of fresh goose poop - and Nala was on a mission to eat as much as possible! We were joking that someone needs to make goose poop flavored dog treats ;)

Ah yes, we refer to it as goo-poo. The only creature that poops more than Jake, the geese.

Goose poo is a favorite with our two. Jazzie not only loves eating up, but a good roll in it too!

Ms M my Lily loves goose poop. But don't eat it cause you get what mom calls the "runs."

Luckily, our dogs haven't yet sampled the delicacy that is goose poop. But they love rabbit poop, which is roughly the same size and shape as their treats and kibble. If we notice it, we'll move them, but otherwise it's buffet time.

While neither Annie nor Paul is interested in eating the goose poo, Paul thinks it's great to roll in.

Goose poop is pretty irresistible. Mina likes to roll in it, not eat it. Which is just as gross.

I'll add Wilbur to this group of bird poop loving dogs; for Wilbur it's gull or duck poop. His big nose becomes a huge vacuum machine and it's very difficult to peel him off a particularly tasty treat. He even snuck off the boat once and zipped back to a spot he remembered from the day before.
