Miss M is a definite bully. When we decided to foster, we weren't sure how well she would do with another female dog in the house. Fortunately for us, our foster dog Wilma is quite submissive and Miss M relishes the idea of having someone new to push around and use as furniture.
At the same time, Miss M has been taking this role in stride and has been mentoring Wilma on the roles in the house. With Miss M as her guide, Wilma has been picking up quickly, learning down commands and the appropriate places to lay in the house:
And of course, Miss M loves the power of having 2 dogs under her command:

Miss M is being such a great host to Wilma. Love the Picture of them two sleeping in the crate together.
Ms M is such a character. I love her!
OMG that first picture is too precious! I'm seriously in love with Ms. M (and Mr. B ... and Wilma too - I'm a total pushover).
And the last picture is great - looks like she's quite unhappy with her "minions" taking up all the good sleep spots!
And of course the second shot is adorable too ... They're all cute!
Before you know it, Miss M will RULE THE WORLD! MWAHAHAHAHAHA! (Um, that was s'posed to be an evil laugh.)

Roo tips his hat to the ladies and makes a request...
Ms. M is the Queen! Love her!
I love the Divine Miss M! Every queen needs her minions!
Miss M is showing Wilma the ropes of life for sure... and she is a good mentor too.

Miss M looks so comfy sleeping on Wilma's booty!
Fudge is our bully and he uses the others as pillows, too. I bet Wilma loves the attention. They are so cute together.

Will you teach me your skills?

Miss M has totally got it going on. She is in control at all times. Have to admire that.

We can't get over how Wilma is such a chameleon! She configures herself into the exact positions of Ms. M and Mr. B.
She IS the perfect pillow size, right M?
Your tiny twin sister,
Kitty
LOVE the photos of your dogs! They are so cute!! I want to adopt a pitbull someday. Just not quite the right time for adopting or fostering :(
I love your dogs, and your blog... I HOPE HOPE HOPE you are taking all the sensible precautions needed with 2 bitches in the same house. Wilma has only been in your home a short time. The longer you keep her, the more you can expect her to try claiming a different spot.
Thanks for the reminder Emily. We had a lot of preparation before we started fostering Wilma, and we made sure that since Miss M is so bossy, we would need a very submissive girl dog. We worked with the pittie-savy trainers at Project Rescue and Unleashed to do proper introductions to make sure we had a good fit. We're also making sure to be consistent in training and maintaining the pack order. Both Miss M and Wilma are crated separately when we leave the house; they just choose to lay together in the same crate when we're home. We're actually pretty lucky that both Mr. B and Wilma are very submissive. Miss M acts tough, but she was actually attacked by other dogs a couple of times on walks and and in all instances she totally backed down, didn't fight back, and tried to run away. It is always a good reminder to be aware of how same sex dogs in the household might vie for power.
The crate picture made me BOL, move over I'm coming in for a pittie pileup! Miss M you are quite the host.
Face Licks,
Charneka
They like two donuts in that middle picture!
Your pal, Pip
Your pooches are wonderful!
Too funny. Dory is soooo loving being "in charge" of Jacob too. We did not bring another female into the family for the same reason, I am so glad things are working out with Wilma, she really seems to be blending in well!
Happy Weekend!
Looks like one big happy family!

i'm so glad that wilma is getting along well with miss m and that miss m can show her the ropes. :)
when we were looking for a companion for asa, we knew we had to find a submissive male. asa is definitely the alpha female. it is interesting, however, that when asa and booker wrestle, she will roll over on her back sometimes and let booker "win". it's almost like she's trying to teach him how to be the boss.
i love love love the first picture of miss m and wilma cuddling in the crate. absolutely precious. are you sure you don't want to keep wilma??
You better keep an eye on those two Ms. M..BOL

I'm leaping with joy! Thank you thank you thank you Miss M for allowing me to escort Wilma to the Hop :)
Rest assured I will have her home on time,
Roo
You guys crack us up! These pics are too cute!
The Road Dogs
Oh I love the pictures especially the first one! Beautiful dogs!
Wilma is a copy cat, too! I love it!
I LOVE your blog! The pictures of your dogs are adorable. Looking at them makes me remember all the good times I had with my Nikko and I miss him! Give your babies hugs and kisses from Brooklyn. :-)
Oh those pics are just great! Poor Wilma will be so used to being used as furniture! I love the pic of Mr. B and Wilma both curled up under Miss M's command! She sure is a little general. I am glad that your household gets along so well with the new foster, even if she is temporarily a piece of furniture, lol!
Girl dogs always seem to be the boss, don't they? Barbie is the boss despite Bender's seniority.
Your pitties are very cute. It's good to see them happy and spoiled. Pitties are 'restricted' here so they have to be muzzled in public and are subject to compulsory sterilization, as well as wearing a designated 'dangerous dog' collar. I daresay that this has significantly reduced the quality of life of the pitties that are around. Our laws also discriminate against greyhounds (always must be muzzled in public), which is going to present a very real obstacle for me doing agility/jumps with Barbie. Stupid government.
I am a new follower of your blog. Your Pibbles are adorable! I have an Olde English Bulldog which I affectionately refer to as my bully mutt. :)
I am new to blogging, but I have been posting pictures of my dog.
