Earlier in the week Miss M had a minor surgery; she had a a large cyst growing on her behind that was irritating her, so we had it removed. As our friend Sticker's person calls it...a 'lady lump'.
We had it tested earlier and it came back benign.
She is completely fine. Our wallet isn't.
She will need to wear a cone until her Franken-area heals.
We have never had to keep our pups in a cone for an extended amount of time. So we were initially feeling a little bit sad for her. We thought it would be really difficult, but then we realized just how adaptable dogs are. Even though she can't use Mr. B as a pillow, she found a way to lay comfortably:
And even pick up and play with a toy:
Realizing Miss M's cone prevented her from joining him in the bed, Mr. B relaxed and thought he was in the clear:Until Miss M became a little more unexpectedly bold. See what we mean, here*:
Also:
We didn't realize it at the time, but I think this has been good preparation for wearing a cone.
Though she looks sad now, we always need to remember this and this.
Some people said they had never seen this before.

Glad to hear that M's ok! And that B had a nice break from Ms. bossypants.
Aww she does look so pitiful. I love how the toy is just hanging from the cone though! All joking aside, it's good to hear she is ok!
Poor Mr. B. He never gets a break!!! Im sure Miss M will be back in Queen form in no time!
Miss M looked quite perplexed at times! I love the shot of Mr. B trotting off to his teepee! Happy healing to Miss M!
I'm glad Miss M is OK, but wearing a cone is never any fun!
Glad to hear that Miss M is ok and it was nothing serious. I dont know if you have them there but I've seen Cones that are a soft version of the hard plastic ones. It might be a bit easier to move around for her. I've lucky never had to use one, but my sister is a vet tech and she says they work great.
oh that is too funny, she is such a pest!! I got Nala a comfort cone when she was recovering from her bit, it was great bc she could easily lay on it and also gave her some of her peripheral vision back - but was long enough to keep her from licking her staples!
Paws crossed to ya Ms M. Mom said if she trades my Lily in she can buy a new car, BOL
Snuggles,
Benny & Lily
Miss M is a fun sassy girl :) Poor Mr. B, he just abides his queen's wishes :) I'm glad all is good and hope for a speedy recovery, I am sure she is missing getting dressed up for her walks :)
Well I am glad to hear that her "lady lump" came back benign. And although wearing a cone is no fun, I'm am pleased that she was able to find a way to make it as comfortable as possible for herself. :)

I'm so glad Miss M is okay. Hans and I just watched the video and we loved the shot of Mr B taking the stuffy into his teepee.
